Project Blue Jay

Project Blue Jay is a large scale semiconductor manufacturing facility located in Leixlip, Ireland. The main purpose of the facility is to create advanced micro processors. Mercury Engineering were employed by the main contractor to deliver M&E fitout of a large portion of the facility.
GMES Ltd were engaged by Mercury Engineering to provide Electrical Inspection & Testing, QA/QC manager, testing manager and an electrical engineering manager for the LV installation. This included the Torqueing of all connections for main and sub-main cables, inspection & testing of the Sub Mains and final circuits, verification of construction issue drawings, verification of the Earthing and Bonding systems (all within our agreed scope), provision of QA/QC manager from commencement to handover of a large package and provision of a testing manager and electrical engineer to oversee and manage all onsite LV testers and subsequent documentation and test results. GMES Ltd also created and implemented a softwear based tracking system to manage all LOTO across the campus.
As part of our services GMES Ltd produced and managed progress reports and a commissioning tracker to highlight completed works and outstanding works across the campus.
