Data Centre – PVV Amsterdam
AMSTERDAM - G23004
PVV Amsterdam is a strategically enhanced Data Centre project designed to meet growing demand and future-proof infrastructure. The data hall has been expanded to support up to 450 racks across 16,500 sq. ft (1,532 sqm), increasing the site’s IT capacity from 1.4 MW to 2.3 MW. As part of the refurbishment, an additional 14,500 sq. ft (1,350 sqm) of data hall space has been added, available either fully fitted or on a build-to-suit basis, offering clients flexibility to tailor the environment to their specific needs.
To support Mercury Engineering on this project, GMES Ltd was commissioned to provide a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) for the existing building, along with comprehensive LV testing of the new services. Our wider scope included torque verification of all primary and secondary cable terminations, detailed inspection and testing of LV Busbar systems, infrared thermographic scanning with full reporting, validation of construction-issue schematics, preparation of distribution board charts, and complete verification of the Earthing and Bonding systems.
As part of our deliverables, GMES Ltd also produced and maintained structured progress and inspection reports, highlighting any non-conformities against NEN1010 standards (in line with CENELEC and BS7671). Additionally, we developed a live tracking system to consolidate and manage key data points from all reporting outputs, ensuring full transparency and traceability throughout the commissioning phase.
